If someone is going down the wrong road, he doesn’t need the motivation to speed him up. What he needs is education to turn him around. ~Jim Rohn
According to UNICEF, 80 Million out of 200 million enrolled students drop out before the completion of their elementary education in India. Most of the reasons we have generally gathered that is parents’ unwillingness, Financial problems, bad quality of the education, distance and lack of basic facilities, overloaded classrooms, carelessness of teachers. There is one more important reason that is lack of motivation. This is not generally discussed but is a very important factor which leads to a lack of interest in students.
We have generally seen and it is also supported by researchers that students are good in the subjects of their favorite teachers.
In school systems, we should trust students to take part in important decisions about the school curriculum and we should discuss their behavioral issues with them directly. Students look at teachers their mentor and guide. Depending on the assistance and attention of their teacher helps children to grow. Small appreciation from them motivates a child. They loved being appreciated. Sometimes few kind words and support by teachers let some students transform their lives.
