India is going through its worst scenario for the water crisis. Some study says that around 600 million people face a severe water shortage and approximately 2,00,000 people die every year due to inadequate access to clean water. It is estimated that 21 cities are likely to run out of groundwater by 2020. Unsteady rainfall also causes chaos in the rural areas and people are getting affected due to lack of access to safe water also depending on groundwater for farming.
22nd March is celebrated worldwide as the world water day. On the occasion of which O3, the dramatic society of Amity School of Engineering and Technology are spreading awareness through public performances. In collaboration with Delhi police, JSSS, Sulabh International Social Service organization, Off Track News.
Vriddhikar has also given their support to them and volunteered to help them to outreach more people.
We request people to understand the intensity of the water crisis that our country is facing and support the cause by taking a pledge to conserve water and also aware others to be part of the campaign.
