With the help my classmates andfriends and opportunity provided by the organisation and spreading awarenessamongst the people about Women Empowerment on International Women’s Day 8thmarch 2018. We are sharing this to give our support to the cause.

The most famous saying said by the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is “To awaken the people, it is the women who must be awakened. Once she is on the move, the family moves, the village moves, the nation moves”.

Man and women, both are equally important for an efficient, productive and sustainable society. Women, in our country especially, are considered as a form of the goddess and they have also proved that if given chance they can excel in any field and can play an equal part in the growth of a country. However, there are many instances to prove that in reality how male chauvinistic our country is.

In the most region of our country, women are facing life threats, lack of power, slavery and are overburdened with work. They receive less formal education, low salaries, given less chance and are continuously compared with men. There is always a question mark on her abilities and her hard work most often goes unrecognised.

In India, to empower women it is very important to educate her, to make her aware about her rights then only would be able to fight social demons like dowry system, illiteracy, inequality domestic violence against women, rape, sexual harassment, female infanticide,  illegal trafficking and other issues.

Currently, not only in our country but on international platforms Women Empowerment and the improvement of their social and economic status has been discussed and given equal importance.

To achieve change, it is important to have policies and programmes that will improve women’s access to secure livelihoods and economic resources.  It is important to alleviate their extreme responsibilities with regard to housework and increase their participation in public life through effective programmes of education.
